Fujitsu and Nvidia will co-develop an AI agent platform focused on sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, and robotics
In sum – what to know:
AI collaboration – the partnership will deliver sector-specific AI agents and computing infrastructure built on Monaka CPUs, Nvidia GPUs, and NVLink Fusion interconnect.
Industry apps – a joint AI platform will target manufacturing, healthcare, and robotics, with agents designed to evolve and adapt to sector needs.
Digital platform – the initiative aims to support Japan’s AI and digital society plans by 2030, with global adoption in industrial transformation.
Fujitsu has announced an expanded collaboration with U.S. AI chip company Nvidia to jointly develop full-stack AI infrastructure, including an AI agent platform and advanced computing systems designed for industry-specific use. The pair will co-develop an AI agent platform focused on sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, and robotics. The platform will integrate Fujitsu’s Kozuchi AI technology with Nvidia’s NeMo framework and Dynamo platform, supporting the development of multi-agent systems that can evolve and be tailored to individual sectors and use cases.
On the hardware side, the two companies will design next-generation computing systems combining the Fujitsu-Monaka CPU series with Nvidia GPUs linked through NVLink Fusion. The aim is to create a high-performance platform optimized for AI workloads, with integration of Fujitsu’s ARM-based software stack and Nvidia CUDA.
Takahito Tokita, chief executive at Fujitsu, said: “[This] collaboration with Nvidia will accelerate AI-driven business transformation in enterprise and government sectors. By combining the technologies of both companies, we will develop and provide full-stack AI infrastructure, starting with sectors such as manufacturing. Tofurther support the expanding needs of AI infrastructure, Fujitsu and Nvidia will expand this partnership in the areas of high-performance computing and quantum.”
The agreement also stipulates the establishment of a partner ecosystem to support deployment across industries. The Japanese firm said use cases will begin in manufacturing, robotics, and other industrial sectors.
Fujitsu and its networking subsidiary 1Finity are also working with U.S.-based cloud networking firm Arrcus to develop network solutions to support demand from various industries for AI solutions. 1Finity will resell Arrcus’s range of AI networking software solutions to network operators, enterprise customers, and data center operators in Japan, initially. The companies also plan to sell to enterprises in global markets.
