The restructured OpenAI - Microsoft relationship creates as many questions as it answers
Testing is not a trend — its the lifeblood of innovation. The recent crop of testing tools that have landed in the market spans network, data center, cloud, AI, semiconductor, and beyond — underscoring the vital role testing vendors will play in this evolving landscape.
The proof is in the pudding. According to estimates by Market Research Intellect, the global Ethernet test equipment market, which is only a slice of the bigger market, is headed for a 7.5% growth between 2025 and 2031. The market, in the IT and telecom category, is projected to climb to $3.8 billion by the end of this term, fueled by accelerated deployment of high-speed Ethernet networks in telecom infra and data centers. Some of the leading players driving the growth are Keysight, Viavi, Spirent, Fluke Networks, and EXFO.
Speaking of big names, Synopsys and Ansys have secured approval from FTCon the final divestiture order. Under the order, Synopsys and Ansys will divest their optical software and photonic software tooling assets respectively, to Keysight, a move intended to preserve fair competition in the software tool markets.
