New product roadmaps and partnerships seem to be the highlight of October in the test and measurement (T&M) market. And that remains consistent with the blizzard of circular deals in the neighborhood AI market. Earlier this week, OpenAI announced a multibillion-dollar deal with AMD to collaborate with the chip giant on AI data centers, intensifying competition with Nvidia, and opening up the market to more diverse products. OpenAI also entered into a partnership with Hitachi to obtain its power transmission and distribution equipment for its data centers. These developments – besides renewing cross-industry collaboration – will also likely intensify innovation cycles and product rollouts even more in the T&M ecosystem in the coming months.
The spotlight shines on Keysight. On Friday, Keysight’s (KEYS) stocks slipped by 1.03% in what was a favorable trading session, and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reported that Robeco Institutional Asset Management B.V. has modified its stake in the company in Q1, with Robeco now holding 0.10% of Keysight, worth $29,098,000. However, the reduction is offset by other institutional investors like NBC Securities Inc. and Merit Financial Group LLC that increased their holdings of KEYS around the same time. More recently, in Q4, Wealth Enhancement Advisory Services LLC and Wellington Management Group LLP have upped their positions by 9.1% and 35.8% respectively, reflecting investors’ continued confidence in the company’s track record of high returns.
