Meta $95B stock offering on heels of SpaceX $40B debt round

With Anthropic’s IPO on the horizon, which would account for an historic valuation between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion, there is a divide in how AI infrastructure is going to be financed. Outlets today reported that Meta is talking about a record-setting $95 billion stock offering to fund its AI infrastructure build-out. This comes on the heels of Elon Musk revealing that SpaceX secured $40 billion in debt financing for Nvidia GPUs and scale of its AI data centers.

In the Meta deal, there is some controversy about $5 billion backed by its own suppliers, including Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom. In the SpaceX deal, concerns have been voiced around the rising cost of capital and the neocloud business models in which computing power is rented, with Musk stating neoclouds are “going to see guppy-level death and consolidation.”

RCRTech will continue to cover this story, especially as Anthropic’s pending IPO nears – one of the. major triggers for these massive capital moves by Meta and SpaceX.
