Meta Beaver Dam DC approved: Wisconsin regulators approved rates for Meta’s Beaver Dam data center, though PSC members ordered Alliant Energy to be transparent and set standard rates for loads of 100 MW or more in future projects.
Amazon thermal event: Amazon has resolved the cloud outage at its North Virginia data center – an issue it says was caused by a “thermal event.” The outage was the second overheating-driven disruption, with CME also suffering a cooling failure.
Box Elder water rights: An application to transfer 1,900 acre-feet of water from ranching to the Stratos Project hyperscale data center in Box Elder County was withdrawn after Utahns from across the state filed nearly 4,000 protests.
Metrobloks DC Indianapolis DC approved: The Indianapolis City-County Council will allow a data center to be built in the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood, for which Metrobloks filed a rezoning request for a 14-acre vacant lot.
